Power Snack
Studies have shown that students do better in school when they eat healthy foods. Since we are eating lunch so early in the morning and our day is so very long, I would like to have a short power snack in the afternoon. The snacks need to be low-fat, healthy foods that can be eaten quickly and without much mess. No cakes, cookies, candy, or chips please. Here are a few examples of great snacks:
apples raisins graham crackers
pretzels dry cereal carrot sticks
crackers grapes animal crackers
cheese goldfish dried fruits
If you would like to contribute extra snacks for students that forget to bring one, we have a snack drawer and would be grateful for extras.
Due to food allergies in the classroom, please be sure that all snacks are PEANUT-FREE!!
